On this auspicious holy month of Ramadhan, Al-Mawaddat Centre, KL wishes all members of the community a Ramadhan Mubarak. We pray to Allah (swt) to accept all our deeds in this holy month, forgive our sins and grant us the tawfiq to become better muslims and attain Taqwa (piety), for the very purpose of Fasting is to achieve the status of Muttaqun, as Allah (swt) says in the Holy Quran:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
مومنو! تم پر روزے فرض کئے گئے ہیں۔ جس طرح تم سے پہلے لوگوں پر فرض کئے گئے تھے تاکہ تم پرہیزگار بنو

O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious
[Surah Baqarah 2:183]

In this Special Ramadhan Circular, the management of Al-Mawaddat Centre wishes to extend the following messages of honouring, bidding farewell and extending appreciation.

Honouring Br. Mohammed Hussein for memorizing Surah Yasin
One of the most honourable achievements recorded in the history of Al-Mawaddat Centre, KL. 12 year-old Mohammed Hussein, son of Ali bhai Azhar and Yasmin bai, illuminated the hearts of the members of the congregation and amazing them recently when he recited the Surah that represents the heart of the Holy Quran - Surah Yasin, by heart, during one of the Shab-e-Jumu'ah Programmes. Subhanallah! Indeed Mohammed Hussein has responded with Labbaik to the following call of Allah (swt):

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
[Surah Qamar 54:17]

Supported and encouraged by his parents, Mohammed Hussein's achievement has become an inspiration for the many to memorise Surah Yasin, or even other Surahs of the Holy Quran. Al-Mawaddat Centre wishes to commend Mohammed Hussein and congratulates his parents for having a gem in the family.

Sr. Siddika, Sr. Tabassum, and Br. Mohamed Hasan complete their degrees
Students spend several years, some three, some four, some more, acquiring tertiary education at a very special adolescent age where the environment around them is mixed with temptations that incline you towards evil. Yet there are some who surpass that maintaining themselves in the path of the truth and excelling in their goals. This year, three students have completed their degrees and will be moving ahead in their life.

Sr. Siddika Dossa graduated with a distinction in Accounting and Finance at Taylors University, affiliated with University of the West of England (Bristol), UK, and has returned to her home country, Tanzania. She contributed greatly towards the Centre through her volunteer services during the events and as a teacher at Al-Mahdi Madrasah.

Sr. Tabassum Dhalla graduated with a distinction in Banking, Finance and Financial Risk Management at Sunway University, affiliated with Victoria University, Australia and has also returned to her home country, Tanzania. She too contributed greatly with her volunteer services during the events organised at Al-Mawaddat Centre.

Br. Mohamed Hasan Botaj graduated in Chemical Engineering at Monash University and has plans to settle in Malaysia with his parents who migrated to Malaysia several years ago. Br. Mohamed Hasan has also contributed and continues to contribute his volunteer services towards the Centre. Apart for the volunteering during events, he is also a teacher at Al-Mahdi Madrasah.

Al-Mawaddat Centre wishes all these students the best in their future endeavours and prays for their success in their jobs, continuing education and life.

Br. Syed Muhammad Zeeshan's educational journey to Australia
Br. Syed Zeeshan Rizvi, who is studying at Monash University is set to head to Australia on an inter-campus student exchange programme for six months. He will be attending Monash University Clayton Campus and will return at the end of the year. Br. Syed Zeeshan will especially be missed for his eulogy recitations in Muharram which will fall in November this year, as well as manqabat recitations during Wiladat and Eid programmes this year. We wish Syed Zeeshan all the best in his educational journey and pray for his success.

Finally, let us remember all the marhumeen and pray for their forgiveness, with one Surah Fateha.
