Sayed Saleh Qazwini visits Al-Mawaddat Centre Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, 31 December 2009

Hailing from a re-known Iraqi family of Al-Qazwini, Sayed Mohammed Saleh, grandson of Ayatollah Sayed Mortadha Al-Qazwini, the prayers' leader and lecturer at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (A.S) in the sacred city of Karbala, visited Kuala Lumpur on his return from Singapore where he delivered English Lectures in commemoration of the great martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S) and his family, to the Ahlul Bayt Community in Singapore during the first twelve night of the Muharram 1431AH.

Visiting with his wife and two-year-old son Mahdi, Sayed Saleh was invited by the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Students at Malaysia (KSISAM) to deliver an English lecture during the Ziyarat Majlis organised for the ithaale thawaab of Marhum Hasnain Kalyan on Thursday, 31 December 2009 at Al-Mawaddat Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Sayed Saleh, lead the Maghribain Namaaz which was followed by the recitations of Hadeeth Al Kisa, Surah Yasin, Dua-e-Kumail and Marsia, all performed by the students.

Sayed Saleh enlightened in his lecture on the challenges that we face in today's world, the influence of Shaytan in our daily lives and more importantly a strong reminder of the Day of Judgement and what it will entail. Giving a brief account of what is expected to happen on the day of judgement, shivers ran through anyone who listened. He explained, the whole life of an individual is recorded like a video that would be played back before the individual showing what he/she had done during his/her lifetime. Quoting from references of the Holy Quran and the Ahadeeth, he mentioned mouths would be sealed and body parts would bear witness of the deeds the individual committed, good or bad. There will be no one to standby him except his deeds.

Recalling the tragedy of Karbala, he narrated the sad incident that happened after all the Bani Hashim were killed. When Ibn Ziyad's ordered his army to trample the bodies of those killed, every shaheed, among the ashaab had families in Yazeed's army who protected their dead from being trampled and buried them. Even Abal Fadhl Abbas, Qasim, Ali Akber, had families from their mothers' side among the army of Yazeed who protected their dead from being trampled and buried them. However, there was no one for Imam Hussein (A.S) who's body had 10 horsemen trample over. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioun.
